Driving in circles drives me mad

I am on road trip in France. I am doing one big circle starting in Paris and then through Orleans, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marseille, Grenoble, Lyon, Dijon back to Paris. Every second crossing is roundabout. Literally. We may discuss pros and cons of roundabouts, they might be safer, they might slow down the traffic (is it pro or con?), they might be whatever, but this is really too much. They have small ones, big ones, crazy ones, any kind you think of. I wonder how much the cars must suffer because every other minute you go through roundabout (and most often you just want to go straight, don’t you?). I am not motorcar mechanic, but I guess car suffer a lot on roundabout, especially here because the French drive fast and furiously. Just to give you an idea according to statistics there are so many roundabouts in France, that if you put them next to each other you can go from Paris to Amsterdam just on roundabouts and still you wouldn’t use them all. Most likely I would be able to do my road trip on roundabouts only.
